#Scallywagathon 20 – 27 May

I heard of the #ScallywagAThon from Booksandlala and just so happened to have a week off from work so it seems that the stars have aligned for me… 

This readathon is hosted by Ali from HardbackHoarder and Amanda from Read all the Books and works like this: 

1. Pick a starting point (1 – 5) 
2. Follow the dots
3. Pick four challenges
4. Complete all of them between 20 – 27 May! 

Challenge 1: Sirens Song – has mermaids or sirens

For this I picked To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo – I believe our main character is siren royalty who collects hearts? Do I need to say any more? 

Challenge 2: Shark Bait (ho ha ha?) – has red on the cover 

I picked The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. I’ve wanted to read this one for AGES but have just never gotten around to reading it – how exciting. 

Challenge 3: There She Blows – exploded with popularity this year 

I didn’t really have anything that fit this criterion (and I didn’t want to go out and buy more books) so, I decided on Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. Love, Simon has recently been released as a movie and has exploded in popularity – so I’m guessing this has too?

Challenge 4: Blow Down the Man-woman author 

For this one, I just picked a book I really want to read soon (as most of my current TBR is women authors!) so I went with Shatter Me Tahereh Mafi – another book I’ve wanted to read for ages but never managed to get to.
