down the tbr hole #5

Down the TBR hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story, and is a great way to whittle down your tbr list. This post covers books 21- 25 on my Goodreads TBR list.

This is how it works:

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous)
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?
  • Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next time.

It feels good to clear some books from my TBR this time around! Have you been through your TBR list lately? Is it time for a bit of Spring cleaning?

  1. I like that cover for Graceling… I may have to look at it some more and add it to my own list. Oops… that’s the opposite of removing things.

The other day I went through my TBR and removed about 20 duplicates (different versions) on goodreads… does that count?

  2. What a great idea!! I should really do this as I think I’m up to 900 books or so on my Goodreads shelf and that’s not even all the books I want to read… it’s just the ones I remembered to actually add to my shelf!
